Educate & Sponsor a Child

Program Overview
The Educate & Sponsor a Child program walks alongside vulnerable children—orphans, children of single mothers, and children from extremely poor households—to keep them in school and healthy.
Through partnerships with sponsors and well-wishers, we provide school fees, scholastic materials, and medical care to break the cycle of poverty one child at a time.
The Challenge
Many children in Uganda drop out of school not because they lack ability, but because their families cannot afford fees, uniforms, books, or basic medical care.
Without education and care, these children face increased risks of early marriage, child labour, abuse, and lifelong poverty.
What Sponsorship Provides
Each sponsored child receives an integrated package of support so they can focus on learning and growing.
Our support includes:
  • School fees for primary, secondary, or vocational education
  • Scholastic materials—books, pens, uniforms, school bags, and shoes
  • Medical care, treatment, and health check-ups
  • Mentorship, counselling, and life-skills coaching
  • Regular monitoring of academic progress and wellbeing
How We Implement the Program
We work closely with schools, churches, and local leaders to identify the most vulnerable children, verify their needs, and pair them with sponsors.
Sponsors receive periodic updates on the child's progress, and FIRM staff conduct home and school visits to ensure every shilling translates into measurable impact.
Program Impact
Sponsored children stay in school, perform better academically, and grow up healthier and more confident.
Their families experience reduced financial pressure, and entire communities benefit as educated young people become productive citizens.
Become a Sponsor
Sponsorship can be one-time or recurring. Whether you cover one child's term fees or commit to a multi-year sponsorship, your gift transforms a life.
