Program Overview
The Youth Skills & Economic Empowerment program equips vulnerable and unemployed youth with practical, income-generating skills that enable them to become self-reliant and economically productive.
This program targets out-of-school youth, young women, and young mothers who face limited employment opportunities and economic vulnerability.
The Challenge
Many young people lack access to employable skills, startup capital, and mentorship. As a result, unemployment and poverty continue to affect families and communities.
Without practical skills, youth remain dependent and vulnerable to risky behaviors that threaten their health and future.
Our Solution
We provide hands-on vocational training combined with entrepreneurship, mentorship, and life skills development.
Youth are trained in:
  • Garment making, tailoring, and fashion design
  • Hair dressing and beauty therapy
  • Cookery, baking, and food production
  • Interior decoration and event styling
  • Small-scale manufacturing such as soap, candles, and shampoo
How We Implement the Program
Training is delivered through practical workshops, community training centers, and mentorship sessions led by experienced trainers.
Participants also receive guidance on:
  • Basic business and financial literacy
  • Saving and reinvestment through VSLA groups
  • Market access and customer relations
  • Personal development and confidence building
Program Impact
Through this program, youth gain employable skills, start small businesses, and contribute to household income.
The program reduces dependency, strengthens families, and creates positive role models within communities.
